Farms and riverside properties formed beyond Mooroolbark before the name Wonga Park came into use.
WHAT SUSTAINED IT
The post office was renamed around 1907; scout jamborees used Yarra Brae in 1948 and 1955, and residential blocks later gathered around local shops and halls.
